Cementing Plugs:
Our cementing plugs are constructed using graded rubber fused onto a composite or aluminum core. These plugs are designed to cater to various needs in cementing operations. They are fully PDC (Polycrystalline Diamond Compact) drillable, allowing for easy removal after the cementing process.
Top Plugs:
The top plug is utilized when a dual-plug system is not required. It exerts continuous pressure on the casing wall to ensure a secure seal. The core is made from materials such as plastic, aluminum, or phenolic, depending on the specific application and well conditions. The tapered base of the plug fits snugly into the cavity of the bottom plug, initiating a positive seal. Additionally, a solid rubber top plug option is available.
Bottom Plugs:
Similar to the top plug, the bottom plug is equipped with fins and a tail section that provide positive wiping action and act as a seal during the cementing process. The core of the bottom plug is also made from special materials like plastic, aluminum, or phenolic, based on the specific application and well conditions. At the top of the plug, there is a rubber diaphragm that ruptures after the plug is seated, allowing cement to flow through.
Our cementing plugs are available in sizes ranging from 4 1/2" to 20", and we can accommodate special sizes upon request. They have an operating temperature range of up to 200 degrees Fahrenheit when using an aluminum core. For higher operating temperatures or operations involving synthetic or mud fluids, plugs can be custom ordered to meet your specific requirements.
